Re: Rule 704 rescinded

Yesterday at its regularly scheduled meeting, the Board of Pharmacy took action to rescind Rule 704 Medication Limitations which placed additional requirements on the dispensation of chloroquine, hydroxychloroquine, and oral azithromycin. At this time, the additional requirements are no longer necessary. The Board expressed their expectation that pharmacists continue to use their professional judgement and consider the presence of inappropriate stockpiling in their evaluation of prescriptions. This action is effective immediately.
