Nurse Practitioners of Idaho announces Idaho Legislative Day to be held in January 2020
The Nurse Practitioners of Idaho (NPI) are pleased to announce our annual Legislative Day will be held Friday, January 24, 2020, at the Capitol Building in Boise, Idaho.
This is a one-day educational advocacy event designed to gather Idaho nurse practitioners in Boise, Idaho to raise awareness among state legislators about the importance of nurse practitioners and their ties to the delivery of safe, effective, and timely patient care to communities across Idaho. This is an opportunity for nurse practitioners to directly influence state policymakers and be a part of positive change for patients in our home state of Idaho.
It is important to contact your district representatives who you would like to meet that day. NP attendees will receive guidance during Legislative Day on how best to approach those meetings. NPI will have pertinent talking points provided in a packet to help you explain important legislative points to the representatives you will be meeting. This is a perfect opportunity for both seasoned and novice advocates.
